Long Term Perspective
The Wilshire 5000 is the most comprehensive measure of the stock market. Here it is compared with a very narrow measure of fashionable high tech stocks, the Pacific Stock Exchange 100.

Short Term Perspective
The high tech market is not performing very well these days - even worse than the rest of the market. Investors are worried about rising interest rates and rising oil prices. Will the consumer be able to keep on spending? That is the question. The Wilshire 5000 did improve in August, however, along with other major market indexes.
